Some members of the family lived in Emborough and Ston Easton at the time of the 1881 census.

William Bartlett had a son William Albert by Martha but they appear to have split up and William jnr was brought up by his paternal grandparents. William snr seems to have moved from Somerset to Yorkshire lodging with recently-widowed Annie Gullick and her children . William and Annie had 4 children and married in 1940, presumably once his first wife died and he was free to do so. Clearly from the 1911 census record and children's proper names they represented themselves as a married couple and would simply 'omit' the Guillck name for their children.

Thomas Bartlett and Agnes Lye had moved to Penrhiwceiber, Glamorgan, South Wales by the 1901 census and their marriage in 1902, and later lived in Penygreig. In the 1930's Thomas, Rose, Lil and Harold moved to Weybridge, Surrey. May moved to Birmingham.
